ITER is an experimental device to generate and demonstrate nuclear fusion energy that earns electricity by artificial fusion reaction from the unlimited solar power. ITER, so-called ‘Artificial sun’, is the world’s largest international joint scientific project. The seven members of ITER: South Korea, the European Union, the United States, Russia, Japan, China, India are collaborating to build the device. ITER Director General Bernad Vigot, who has a doctorate in chemistry and physics, is cooperating with the seven member states in an integrated way to succeed with ITER’s mission.
