A. Items of Personal Information Collected
Maeil Business Newspaper, Maekyung AX, MAEKYUNGBIZ, and SYSFORU collect the following minimum personal information for press registration for the World Knowledge Forum and for the provision of related services.

< For both domestic and foreign applicants>
- Required items: Name (Korean/English), Company name (Korean/English), Department, Position, Address, Telephone number, Mobile phone number, Email address

1) Information that may be automatically collected during service use or business processing
- Automatically collected items: IP address, Cookies, Date and time of visit, Service usage history, Access logs, etc
- Purpose of collection: Service quality improvement, statistical analysis, security management, etc.

Maeil Business Newspaper, Maekyung AX, MAEKYUNGBIZ, and SYSFORU collect personal information for the following purposes:

■ Application for participation in events hosted by Maeil Business Newspaper, including the World Knowledge Forum

■ Participant management (providing event-related information and notifications, identity verification, access control, handling inquiries, post-event satisfaction surveys, service improvement, and statistical analysis)

■ Analysis of access frequency and service usage statistics

In principle, collected personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. However, the following information is retained for the specified periods in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

A. Retention in accordance with relevant laws

If it is necessary to retain information under laws such as the Commercial Act or the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the company will retain the information only for the specified period and use it only for the intended purpose.

The collected personal information shall be kept and used only for the period of service provision from the date of registration. It is retained and used only when WKF Secretariat provides any services to the event. Personal information shall be immediately deleted the member

1) requests withdrawal from the membership,
2) withdraws consent of the collection and use of personal information,
3) once the purpose of collection and use of the personal information is achieved, and ends the period of retention and use. However, the following information is retained for the specified period for the following reasons

■ Personal information(log-in records) retained for using services

Ground for retention: to comply with the Protection of Communications Secrets Act Duration of retention: 3 months

Personal information retained for cancellation of membership

Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce and etc.Duration of retention: 5 years

■ Personal information retained concerning provisions of goods and payment Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce and etc.

Duration of retention: 5 years

■ Personal information retained for arbitrating disputes or processing customers' claims and complaints

Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce and etc.
Duration of retention: 3 years

■ Personal information retained related to the record of personal information

Ground for retention: to comply with the act on the protection and use of location information and etc.
Duration of retention: 1 year

■ Personal information retained for electronic financial transaction

Ground for retention: to comply with the Consumer Protection Act in e-commerce, etc.
Duration of retention: 5 years
