If there is storage space, Korea will be able to capture carbon directly│Doug Rae│Carbon Engineering

Carbon Engineering is a Canadian company that commercialized the DAC(Direct Air Capture) technology, which collects carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere. Compared to the main rivals, Climeworks in Switzerland and Global Thermostat in the US, Carbon Engineering collects a larger amount of carbon; besides, they are currently developing a method of recycling collected carbon as fuel. At the end of last year, global enterprises such as Shopify and BMO drew attention by pre-purchasing about 1,000 tons of carbon offsetting credit through CE. CE has attracted investment from several investors, including Bill Gates, Chevron, and Occidental Petroleum. We were able to hear the future technology of carbon-capturing that CE is envisioning from Doug Rae, a vice president of Business Development. It is CE’s very first interview with Asian media. ☆ WKF | http://www.wkforum.org/WKF/2021/kr/ ☆ Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/WorldKnowledgeForum/ ☆ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/worldknowledgeforum/ ☆ Youtube│https://www.youtube.com/wkforum
